Refunds and Account Credit
MailThisForMe is not publicly launched unless invited. These policies are operational product terms and should receive human/legal review before broad public launch.
Refunds and account-credit corrections are reviewed manually. While checkout remains gated, admin-added credit is an internal balance movement and does not prove that external funds were received. Inbound Stripe/OpenNode payments are final, and normal refunds are handled as MailThisForMe account-credit adjustments rather than provider refunds.
Pending deposits are not available for mail jobs. Failed, canceled, expired, ignored, rejected, and errored deposit or provider-event states are not credited unless later reconciliation confirms exactly one safe credit.
Mail Job Outcomes
- Queued jobs may be cancelled before processing, printing, or mailing. Cancellation releases the outstanding reservation when applicable.
- Rejected jobs are not printed and should not be charged. Rejection releases the outstanding reservation when applicable.
- Failed jobs before USPS handoff are reviewed for reservation release or account-credit adjustment based on the recorded reason.
- After USPS handoff, the job is treated as mailed. Standard stamped mail may not include tracking, and support review should use the USPS handoff record and customer-safe status history.
Disputes and Escalation
Customers should contact support with the mail job id, deposit id when relevant, account email, and a short description. Operators review the ledger, reservation state, deposit status, fulfillment status, and custody record before deciding whether to issue account credit, release a reservation, or escalate the case.
